Q1: Can I enroll in Term 2 without completing Term 1?
Yes! If you have 3+ years of relevant professional experience, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and can enter Term 2 directly. Submit your CV, professional references, and a statement of purpose for review. The RPL application fee is $47 (deducted from course fee if accepted).
Q2: Do I need to complete all 7 pillars to receive a credential?
No. You receive a certificate for each pillar you complete. However, to receive the full Diploma in Sector Specialist Leadership, you must complete all 7 pillars or an approved pathway combination. We recommend the full diploma for comprehensive development and Term 3 eligibility.
Q3: What if I can’t attend live workshops?
All live workshops are recorded and made available within 24 hours. However, we strongly encourage live attendance for interactive discussions, networking, and real-time Q&A with instructors. Some pillars (especially Pillar 7) have limited recorded content due to the intimate, confidential nature of the work.
Q4: How much time should I commit each week?
Plan for 10-12 hours per week per pillar: approximately 3-4 hours for self-paced content, 2-3 hours for live workshops, and 5-6 hours for assignments and case study work. If you’re working full-time, we recommend taking one pillar at a time.
Q5: Can I pay for pillars individually or must I enroll in the full diploma?
You can enroll in individual pillars or the full diploma bundle. The bundle offers a 9% discount ($183 savings) and ensures you complete the full diploma. Payment plans are available for both individual pillars and the full diploma.
Q6: What if I don’t pass the assessment?
We’re committed to your success! If your initial assessment doesn’t meet the competency standards, you’ll receive detailed feedback and the opportunity to revise and resubmit your work. We offer one free resubmission per pillar. Our goal is your mastery and professional development.
Q7: Are Term 2 courses eligible for professional CPD?
Yes! Each pillar specifies notional learning hours that can be claimed for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with many professional bodies. The full diploma represents 240 notional learning hours. Check with your specific professional organization for their CPD requirements.
Q8: Can international professionals enroll in Term 2?
Absolutely! While our content is rooted in Caribbean context, Term 2 is open to professionals worldwide. All live workshops are scheduled with consideration for multiple time zones, and recordings are available. Our community includes Caribbean diaspora professionals globally.
